LITURGICAL EDUCATION
WITH ALISHA
What is ‘Liturgical Education’?
Formed in her ministry practice through the Anglican Diocese of Gippsland, Alisha (and team) pioneered a new project to support the work for younger people (or those new to faith) going back to the roots of Anglican Communion - Liturgy.
In her calling, Alisha long sensed the urgent need to ‘fill the gap’ where the Prayer Book and liturgical cycle was concerned. New to some, a welcome change through lay ministry and throughout the Church. She saw a plan and project working with younger people and families to build, pioneer and grow (with ultimate conviction!) on the void of liturgical education and what that means for invitation, branding and development in a brand new era for Anglicanism on the horizon. through lay ministry under the guidance of mentors, Bishop and in the formation for Ordination.
2019 - 2024, Alisha came to recognise this above development in the form of a ‘wave’ - the ‘Renewal’ wave throughout Gippsland. The energy of water produces enough for the cycle to continue at rapid rate.
With all the above, 2019 - 2022 Synods presented an opportunity to be granted permission, anointing and approval of the new project and mission, in project form, to be developed into new thinking (including services).
